I saw a few posts on dpreview about the Canon Loyalty program, and would like to learn a little more. (I'd call the (866) phone #, but it's 11:12pm on the USA west coast as I'm typing this sentence.)
I currently have a broken A70 (lens twisted & jammed) and S1 IS (swivel LCD not displaying anything, lens won't extend (but no E18 error), camera ONLY works in playback mode IF using the EVF AND if switching it on in that mode, with the LCD closed).
I'm assuming I'd probably have to have SOME outlay of cash, but that it'd be cheaper than just buying the camera outright.
I'd be interested in upgrading the A70 to a G9 ***EDIT: scratch the G9 - it doesn't have a rotating LCD or an F/2.0 lens like the older G series*** or A650 (or G10 (if it has rotating LCD and F/2.0 or faster (at wide)) or A660), and/or the S1 to a S5 (or S6).
