Z712 Video Questions

I have the Z712IS camera. I use my laptop a lot for my pictures and videos but have also put them on my desktop. I cannot view the videos on my desktop which is a fairly recent Dell. The videos show up as white boxes or sometimes a picture divided into 9 squares. Is there something I need to download?

Also I have a video editing program on my laptop but it does not recognize the videos from this camera. Is there a way to save the video so it will.

Seems odd-but if you cant view them you probably either dont have Quicktime Player and/or the required video codec on the Dell.Check and if so download and install Quicktime.

Alternatively if you convert the movie files to .avi using a converter such as this http://sourceforge.net/projects/mp4cam2avi/ they will then be playable on Windows Media Player.

Agree ........ Install the Quicktime player.
