Hello to all KODAK users. As you can all see I've posted in some old threads in hope of getting more users to post in the forum, and to pass on a bit of info to others. I do not think of myself as a photographer by any stretch. I like playing with gear, just to see what I can do with it. If I post a picture and you like it, you like it, if not oh well. Either way to sit and listen to what is good or what is bad I just don't care. The picture has been taken and it is what it is, I'll not be taking it to photoshop to manipulate it.

Welcome. Yes we need more activity on this forum. Maybe everyone is too busy with their Kodak cameras to sit down at a computer...

Speaking of digital image manipulation, I use 4 free programs for very minor tweaks:
1) Kodak EasyShare - great for turning color into B&W and some other minor effects
2) Picasa - free from Google - the image sharpening effect can be useful
3) Microsoft Office Picture Manager - great for minor color adjustments
4) Noiseware Community Edition - does a great job of reducing noise or grain in your image. ISO's over 200 and slow shutter speeds increase noise in cameras with small sensors, so this software can turn your point & shoot into an SLR from an image quality perspective.

I find that digital cameras do not always capture what you see and these 4 software tools can help the images become what you expect.

Helicon Filter works well .... I use the frames and resize tools.
