S5 IS or Fuji S100fs.

Have you considered the cost factor?
The S5IS costs about $300, the S100fs about $700.

Not only the price but the size and weight of the Fuji makes it a camera that is going to be just as bulky to carry around as your DSLR. I think you current Canon IXUS 850 IS would be the choice for me.
