I am looking at a Canon XT or XTi camera. My budget is $500-600. I already have a Canon EF lens for a Rebel 35mm camera. Also, I would like a couple of lens suggestions for shooting Wildlife, People, Nature and some action shots. I need to get fairly good picture quality for prints. As I see it, there doesn't seem to be much difference between to 2 cameras. Any help would be appreciated.

Personally, I'd be going for the newer Canon XTi as its improvements over the XT are well worth the extra dollars IMHO.
Jeff's done a very good review of the XTi which you can read HERE (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/digital_rebel_xti-review/index.shtml), and also have a look at his sample gallery.
In short (according to Jeff's review) the improvements of the XTi over the XT are:
New 10.1 effective Megapixel CMOS sensor (versus 8.0 on the Rebel XT)
New dust reduction system (more details on this later)
Large 2.5" LCD display (versus 1.8" on the XT)
No more LCD info display (the main LCD is used instead)
9-point autofocus system (versus 7-point)
Can now take more shots in a row in burst mode (27 vs 14 JPEG, 10 vs 6 RAW)
New Picture Styles feature, first seen on the EOS-5D and 30D
but.....
Battery life is 10% lower than on the XT
Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the information. I have a Canon EF lens and a Quantaray AF lens. Will either of these work on the XT or XTi. Also any recommendation of lenses. Thanks

EF lenses will work on the XTi, with a 1.6x crop factor (multiply the listed MM rating by 1.6 to get the new effective focal length).
