Do you honestly need more than 2 bodies?

Do you have no idea how big the Olympics are? This isn't hometown little league soccer and the LaForet isn't exactly shooting for the local paper.

He is also shooting with two other photographers (apparently) and who knows how many assistants!? I wonder if some of the cameras will be set up to be remotely triggered too?

He specifically states that three bodies are for remote and three are for carrying.

Well, considering three bodies are used as remotes - set up 8-12 hours before an event - six cameras seems less excessive.
Personally I don't read Newsweek - do they have a lot of sports coverage? It seems this would be more appropriate for a Sports Illustrated photographer?

I think every mainstream mag is big on the Olympics. Probably especially this year since it's in Beijing. It'd be publication suicide not to be.

Ahhh, I didn't read anything on the site. I just look at pictures. That makes sense.
So is he using the pocket wizards to trigger the cameras?
P.S> Okay I read the descriptions too never mind lol!

Bloody amazing. Some of the items he takes are interesting: TS-E lenses???
I didn't know you weren't allowed to use flash at the Olympics.
Also did you read the part about everything in RAW? And he has two 1Ds Mark IIIs! I guess he'll use every bit of that storage.

I didn't see any flashes... I think the pocket wizards are to trigger the remote bodies he's using.

ha.. that's what I was going to say..
It's like he robbed BH...
That's a lot of cameras. My guess is he's expecting a few to vanish mysteriously. Personally I would not wish to visit China. I just don't think China is a safe place for anybody to visit. The provinces are extremely wild and the towns are extremely authoritarian.
