It handles like a slightly over-sized 500/4 IS. But the IS is better. AF seems to be good even without any cross-sensors, although as you can see I was in good light.

Not sure if it's the right lens for this type of football - on a 1D Mark III I found it a little tight sometimes. On a FF it would be perfect though.

Great action, DOF Christian. Q: were you using IS even at 1/1000th? Is there any lag w/ the IS?
