Rockstar Mayhem

Went to this concert last Friday and I managed to sneak my 40d/50mm1.4 in but I really didn't have great seats. A buddy of mine had front row seats and let me use them to sneak down to the front row during the first act (Mastodon). I shot the rest from my seats which was pretty far back. I had planned on walking around and snapping some pics as there was a lot of "interesting" people out there but it was too fricking hot to do anything. I was melting just sitting there.

I think I could have gotten some interesting shots of Mastodon had it been nighttime but I still think some of these are pretty decent.

12. This old lady was sitting next to me.. I'm guessing she took her daughter/granddaughter to the show but I just had to get a pic. She was headbanging the whole show and even had on a Slipknot tshirt with her sleeves rolled up..

I'm not a big concert guy myself (last rock concert I went to was Aerosmith, Madison Square Garden, 1976 :eek:) but these are actually quite good. Nice work! (Maybe is was 1977.... ;) )

I think you got some great shots considering the distance you were. You did a good job with the lighting. In addition to 13 I would say 11 is well done also!

I'm not much of a Dragonforce fan and most of the people weren't that into them either.. They play ridiculously fast and have great technical skills but I really don't like their music. When they came out they had the Metallica intro music playing and stopped it halfway through saying it was non-straight to play that music.. Mastodon was awesome. I recently became a big fan of them and they were great. Played and sounded really good.. I saw Disturbed a few times when they first came out but their last two cd's I think weren't too great. Slipknot was badarse. Something has always come up when they played here and I've never gotten a chance to see them. They put on a great show..

they have rockband at my work. i hooked it up a couple fridays ago for them and we rocked out for like an hour!!! i got paid to play rockband.

Dude that's awesome. GH4 is suppose to have a drumset but it's suppose to be way better than the Rockband version.

Anytime I have to do something with pshop i wait to do it here so I can say I get paid to pshop.
