I have a Canon S5....and I love it!! I am wanting to get into photography work and this was a start. I have a Nikon Series E 50mm lens and wanted to know if there is an adapter that will let this lens fit my Canon S5? Thank u for your help!

Short answer no.
Long answer is that you might be able to glue/tape/epoxy the thing on, but don't expect anything near a workable picture out of it.

I'm not quite sure why you'd wanna stick a 50mm prime on the Canon S5IS anyway? Considering that its 12x zoom already covers that focal length.
If you'd like to check out the S5's adaptor, wide, macro, and tele lenses, check out Jeff's review HERE (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_s5-review/)
Hope this helps.
Cheers :)

The S5 has a fixed lens, meaning it can't be removed. An SLR camera has a removable lens system that allows you to remove the lens and replace it with another one. The lens you mentioned above is for the SLR type. It is intended to be the only lens on your camera. If you attached it to the end of another lens you would get strange results.
