This week in my photo class we had to take pictures representing a sense of motion-i.e. consciously using the shutter speed (either freezing or showing motion). The first picture is the one that I chose to turn in, and the others were the ones I was choosing between. C & C very welcome....

I initially would have preferred #2 but once I checked it out more I agree that #1 was the best choice:) I would have liked #2 if all of the boy was in focus.

Good job!

Danidabi, I think that was the point, to capture motion blur. I wish his foot was in the shot, but then again it's hard to frame a moving child!

I like #1 too. But I'd crop out the lower-left corner to concentrate on the rest of the image.

yeah....i was kinda disappointed about not getting the full body in #3 b/c I do think that is a nice shot. I tried to make him play around a little more but he was already out of breath just spinning in circles and jumping up and down a little bit but he was too tired....

#1 does a good job of conveying motion while at the same time portraying a sense of stillness in the boy. Nice!

Sometimes; I think a little motion blur helps a motion shot look, well, in motion!

Moneypenney - great kid shots! Catching the kids in motion is a whole other trick. They just don't stay put for a lined up shot do they?
