Small water marks on S5 lens

Yes, I did not invest in a UV filter to protect the lens.
But at a recent parade, the spectators were being sprayed with a water gun. Unfortunately, I was not fast enough to cover the lens, so I have what seems like erosion of some coating material on the lens that has left small spots on the lens. (I thought I had dried it thoroughly)
Any ideas on how to clear those spots or get it re-coated? (if it is a coating)

I assume you cleaned it with lens cleaner and tissue? If you have spots after that, I would wonder what was in the water.

Yeah, I had that happen to me. I just cleaned it with a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth, looked as good as new. And I was using one of the cheaper lens cleaning kits available on the internet.

Now if you already tried that and it didn't work... uh oh.

Thanks for the response...I think I may be stuck with the ...uh oh option...questioning what was really in the water?
