Need something a little wider than the 50 so I came across the following 3 lenses:
Sigma 28-300 D 3.5-6.3 IF Aspherical (non DX)
Sigma 18-50mm F3.5-5.6 DC
Tokina 20-35mm 2.8
Price wise, they are all the same.
Which is the best of the lot?

If I were you, and I wanted something wider than 50mm, but had a very limited budget, I would get the Nikkor 18-55 v.2.0:

Or spend another $50 and get the VR version:

Optically they will be superior to any of the lenses you posted above, and their warranties are better. Silent wave motors, etc... No question, Nikon for the win!

I want to keep to one of the three above mentioned lenses. I can get each for US$70 so it's a steal.
Without knowing anything about the optics my instincts lead me towards the Tokina. If they were my options I would be researching that Tokina lens.
I managed to find the specs on it here (http://www.slrgear.com/reviews/showproduct.php/product/242/cat/33).
This search (http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Tokina%2020-35) on Flickr pulled up 303 images.

As K1W1 said, Tokina 20-35/2.8 all the way. FM forums have a reviews page on the 20-35... consistently positive reviews:
