So my sister in law is in Dunfermline(??) at the moment and she said she'll bring me back an SB-600.

Catch being, if she can find a reasonably priced camera shop which isn't a PITA to find.

Anyone know of a decent place that might stock them in Dunfermline that isn't horribly over priced(read Jessops)

Thanks guys

Hmm Dunfermline is quite remote as far as I know and you would be very lucky to find anything BUT a jessops...

A search on google brought up:

B&M Photo Supplies

22 Bridge Street, Dunfermline, Fife KY12 8DA

p: 01383732649

How long is she there for? Does she know anyone living there? If so order one online to that persons address.

Otherwise I am out of ideas!

having said that, if you are on good terms with her :D send her over to Edinburgh....many more options there:

How far is Edinburgh from Dunfermline? She doesn't know anyone there and will only be staying till Sunday.

www.nationalrail.co.uk (this website tells you train times in the UK)

Dumfermline to Edinburgh seems to take about 30mins or slightly more by train

Seems reasonable.

So where would you suggest she looks for the flash?

Sorry for all the questions, but we've never been that side of the world

Crap, she doesn't want to leave Dumferline. Any other reasonably priced shops round there?

I think 299 pounds for an SB 600 from Jessops is madness

It's England. Everything's hideously overpriced wherever you go! Jessops is appalling though...They want £45 in store for a 4gb Extreme III card...I can get that for £20-£25 on Amazon.

See that's the problem. I know there must be a place somewhere that doesn't charge exactly the same as we do.

I mean, we live in a 3rd world country for Pete Dohrety's sake

if she isnt gonna go to Edinburgh then you are probably resigned to getting jessops.

£300 is extortion. Where does she actually live? Or any other of your relatives. They could buy you one online (ebay for example) then post it to you.

We all live in Africa.

If you mean where is she at the moment?

She's at Pitbauchlie Hotel for 3 or 4 more days

ok, some good news.

I called B&M photo (the link i gave you), but the number doesnt work. That is not the good news.

I called Jessops and they said they have it in stock for £229.99. Cheaper than
what you thought...If you want I can call them and reserve one for you (i would need your sister in laws name).

I also asked if they price matched, which they do (with local competitors only, of which i dont know!)

Herc, you are a legend.

I'd appreciate it greatly if you could reserve one for me.

She's Mrs. Mather

Done, its on hold for 24hours.

I gave them my mobile number in case (she may have mispelt the name I gave them!).

Anyway, I doubt they would sell out, so you should be ok...:D
