The Exilim EX-V8 offers the perfect balance between sleek, stylish looks and high performance functionality. The Exilim EX-V8 features a 7X Optical Zoom Lens in a small, stylish camera. Now a camera this small allows you to capture stunningly detailed images from a distance.
This latest edition to the Exilim line of digital cameras features the newest movie format – MPEG-4 H.264/AVC recording – which provides recording and playback of high-resolution video at remarkably small file sizes. In addition to increased resolution, you’ll also increase compression speed so the length of video recording is limited only by your memory card.
Single movie is limited to a file size of 4GB

From what I've read on this site, European models need to limit the length of video that they are capable of recording to meet the import specs. If they can record more then 10 minutes they have to be classified as movie cameras and are taxed a different way.

So, the models sold in Europe have one limitation that is not there in US models. No matter which model you buy outside the US it will have this limitation.

Note that International can mean different things. The first case (EX-V8) makes the distinction between North American and International. In this case, International may include Europe. The second case (EX-V7) makes the distinction between European and International; so International excludes Europe. It's not inverted; in both cases the models available to Europe are limited to 10 minutes of recording.

They may only make a single version of the EX-V8 for sale outside of North America and that version is limited to 10 minutes.
