hey guys, new to the forum.
i had my trusty point-and-shoot sitting around for a month, picked it up one day to take some quick pics of an item i want to sell via another forum. I was outside snapping away, not looking after each pic, when i got inside to review what i had done, all the pics were completely white. %$^$ !!! when taking pics inside the photos came out, but with white lines running through it. when switching to manual mode, i could adjust the exposure and ISO settings to turn down the exposure, but still very noticeable. I DONT WANT TO BUY another point and shoot as this is my 2nd one in like 3 years, and I don't use this type of camera very often.

any ideas what could be wrong with the camera?

oh yeah, the camera was stored in a warm area for about a week?

Can you post some pictures? It sounds like your camera is dying.

I'd try taking the battery out and let it sit for a day then try putting back a fully charged battery and see if things change.

i would say either the CCD is gone
or the shutter in the lens
