I got a w150 a few days ago. My main reason for getting it was it has an optical viewfinder and 5x zoom. There are 2 features that I find unfortunate. 1 - no zoom in movie mode and 2 - VERY short auto review, I will almost always have to toggle back and forth between taking a pic and reviewing/showing it to others. My 3 year old, cheap Kodak has these features.
I know I want a lot of features in a cheap, small camera, but these 2 items seem basic. I have not really tested the photo quality, seems it does better than old camera in low light situations.

You can adjust how long the photo is displayed on the LCD after taking the photo by using the menu. The other alternative is to switch from the "capture" menu to the "playback" menu.

I'm quite keen on buying the W150 as well - the only question mark I have is the lack of manual control. Could I, for example, take a photo of a starry night sky?
I like the 5 x optical zoom, image steadying, face recognition and smile recognition on this camera. I currently have a Fuji F610 and too many photos are just blurred because of camera shake.

I "had" the w150 and ended up returning it. I purchased it a few weeks before my oldest son's high school graduation wanting it for quick shots and a camera that I could put in my pocket and pull out when needed. I practised and practised and I did read the manual (that by the way you can only access via a computer). Decent shots were hit and miss with this camera. I hated the way the flesh on people looked. What I think I hated most was the shot looked awesome on the LCD screen but when you would print it out it was horrible!! I also tried different printing options, CVS, Walmart, Epson Picturemate etc.
The one reason why I did purchase it was because of the review it got on Steve's Digicam site. I hated returning it because I loved everything else about it. I ended up purchasing an Olympus stylus 1010. Photo quality from this little camera is soooooo much better!
If you do purchase this camera make sure where ever you buy it you can return it and get all your money back.

Ooops forgot to add ... the charger that comes in the box ..... it takes 4.5 hours for it to fully charge the battery. Sorry Sony, but that is just totally unacceptable. In order to get a quicker charge you have to purchase seperately for around $35 a rapid charger.
The charger for my Olympus 1010 fully charges in under 2 hours.
The charger for my Panasonic FZ18 fully charges in 2 hours.

You knew about both of these issues before you bought the camera - http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39785
We already showed you how to change the display length in the last thread, and optical zoom during video is not a simple feature mainly due to the noise from the zoom motor being picked up by the mic.
