I have Lightroom, I really like it. However, for some unexplained reason I can't Export on my desktop computer, however Lightroom works just fine on my laptop.
If you want details, let me know. I've tried about everything, except the thing that will fix it.
Sooo...I just downloaded Phase One Capture One. I'm pretty impressed so far with what little I've done with it. Anyone have any experience with it? I'm looking for a good raw editing and workflow solution.

I like the promise of LR and would like to see some third party modules released. I do believe that the LR model is the future. But...and it's a big but...the C1 sharpening looks better to me. But I have no real knock against LR and may wind up switching back at some point...but for me, right now, C1 is my tool of choice after a a fairly lengthy direct head-to-head match-up.

C1 has become my tool of choice by default.
I like it as well. It's the oddest thing, I have LR on my desktop computer and on my laptop. It works flawlessly on my laptop, but it crashes when I try to Export on my desktop. Since Exporting is kind of the point, it makes it pretty useless.
I've checked all the settings on LR on both computers, they are the same. The desktop actually has quite a bit more horsepower than the laptop. It really doesn't make any sense, but there you have it.:D

Yes, I'm using Windows. This is the first time I've ever had any trouble to speak of with it.
I've actually reformatted and reinstalled 3 times, but it won't export. It's kind of a moot point now, I sold LR and am liking C1 anyway.:-)
It's just bugging me that I couldn't get it to work. I had the beta 2.0 installed, it crashed on Export. I figured I'd reformat and reinstall, it was about time for that anyway. I test a lot of sw and do that about twice a year.
Oh well, like I said it's a moot point now.

Very interesting. I had the oppostie problem. After doing my free upgrade to C1 v4, it stopped working completely after a month or so! It drove me nuts for several days and actually turned out to be a MS dotnet problem! I had to completely back out dotnet (not an easy task!), de-install C1 and then re-install each version of dotnet in order and then re-install C1. An amazing pain in the ass...but it all works now. :D
