Are all CF cards for sale these days compatible with older camera's like the Canon Xt rebel? Or would the Xt only use certain CF cards?

It is possible that the XT may not be able to address the larger CF cards ... I just bought a 32 GB from Transcend. OMG ... that should hold about ... 3000-4000 shots!

A good weekend's worth, for sure. :D

Okay, okay ... I'm recharging those battery packs as fast as I can.

Ha ha. I was thinking of normal size cards, 2GB or less. The reason I ask is my local Sears is selling the XT on clearance for $250.

Well, that is a great price for a body ... "free" would be better. Where you get into the money problem is not with the body, but with the glass you put on the front of it. If you already are invested in Canon EOS lenses, then it's a real money saver ... a great backup choice. Albeit, a dust magnet, but with the money you save, you can buy a Giotto's Rocket Blaster to clean it in a couple of months or so.

As an intro-camera ... it may be short lived if you begin to get serious with it. You'll see why they've been reduced to $250. A lot of original problems have been solved with the advent of the Canon XSi or 40D.

Bargain. Pick up a couple at that price and sell one on ebay for about $350.
