Shooting video and run out of space on memory card - files corrupt on desktop

Hi all,

I've shot a large video on a DX7590 in batches. It was so large it hit the 1GB capacity of the card. Now when I try to view it on a desktop, I can't view the file at all in any video program (it seems), although on the camera I can see the first frame as a preview.

I've tried VLC, Avidemux, VirtualDub, etc...nothing seems to work.

Can anyone suggest anything I could do?

I never run into that on any digital camera including the KODAK DX6490 DX7590 and Z7590 line of cameras. It seems your card has had a breakdown not the camera. You may want to try downloading via a card reader. If not it's reformat time (as you should do at least monthly) and see if the card comes back to life
