Canon S3 is Dead!

anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

was taking some pictures and all of a sudden the camera shut off. it's only 2 years old and in great condition. i thought it was the batteries at first, but then put in new batteries and it still doesn't turn on. I get an orange light when I try to turn the camera on, but then that shuts off pretty quickly. No menu or function capability and the lens does not zoom.

are there any error messages that appear on the LCD?

nothing appears on the lcd...both lcd and viewfinder are black...

Mine did something very similiar over the weekend. My camera is a little over a year old. Was taking pictures, when all of a sudden I can't see thru the viewfinder. Open up the LCD display, and it's working, but the image is now upside. Switch over to view pictures, and can't view pictures. I also notice that I only have the orange light.
