I started using picasa a few years ago- it's free stuff from google and is amazingly streamlined- it catalogues photos and stores them in folders ordered by date. All the normal features- You can tag with keywords, put into albums, see an interactive timeline, fix light, colour, redeye, smooth, sharpen, age etc. but it also has some more interesting stuff- web page creator, pan+zoom film exports and automatic ordering of prints.
In terms of all round usability, I'd give it :):):):)

I agree. I just wish they had a Mac version.
They have a Linux version. That might work on Mac. Personally I prefer my Mac software and the Canon software.

Perhaps it's me as I date back to the DOS days and have used various versions of Paintshop since it's shareware days. I've also tried several other programs such as Photoshop Elements, GIMP, Capture etc. When I tried Picassa, it lasted two weeks before I uninstalled it. While it does have advanced features over "included" software, it still was somewhat of a lightweight compared to the intermediate level (below Photoshop but 90% as capable) programs that I had been using. But what really got me was it's wanting to take over all photographic functions for my computer much the same way the google's gmail forces ads next to the email matching the subject of your email. I'll stick with Paintshop Pro and Capture combo - without Corel's photo organizer program that I also uninstalled when it decided it needed to take over my computer.

Give this a try:
S7Raw Freeware.net (http://www.photo-freeware.net/s7raw.php)
And a tutorial for S7Raw:
S7Raw Editor Tutorial (http://www.mattspinelli.com/s7raweditor1.html)
Hope this helps :)
Picasa is more of a photo/album organizer with a few image retouching feature, it's not an image editor program (don't expect a mini-Photoshop). It is very user-friendly and easy to use. And the ability to upload to PicasaWeb in a click is great. :)

You are not the only one. 3.3 here.

Again you are not the only one. IMO Picassa is like a virus or worse still a virus program from Symmantec it seems to want to totally control your system. It's not for me and there is no way it's being loaded on this or any future PC of mine.

Sorry Ramblingman... can't help you there. :(
I use it for my Fuji E900, so I'm not even sure it's gonna work with any of the Nikons. Maybe one of the Nikon aficionados around here might be able to help out with this?
Cheers :)
PS: And you're more than welcome!
