Kombizz, can you read the political statement? It would be very poignant if it is something that relates to the woman.
It says something political about beheading American Journalists.
Does it really or are you letting that pugnacious character of yours get the better of you?
Kev, for someone being here a month, how do you know what kind of character I have? Your comments should be to the poster of the thread and not comments made by others about the post. This guy has been tossed out of other photo forums for his political bs. This is a place to display photographic prowess and not to be used as a platform for political or religious retoric.

But then how do we have a discussion? And didn't you just do what you said shouldn't be done?
This guy has been tossed out of other photo forums for his political bs.
Really? How can you tell?
Whats your point Adam? Kev made his remarks directly to me so I responded to his remarks. Now you are responding to whose remarks? This guy has been banned from StevesDigicams for one site. What proof do you need? You dont believe me then go ask the moderators there. Why does there always have to be a wise ass. Oh yes, this place is full of them. Am I the only one that doesnt like to see this muslim crap. Enough of my friends have died for their cause and I dont like to see any of it. Lets keep it photographic and not political.

why not both? If you don't like it, don't look at it. Simple as that. Thats what living in a "free" country is for. freedom of speech. you don't have to listen. You clicked on the link, He is not forcing the picture on anyone.
personally, I think this image speaks volumes. there is the American commercialism (the Bosch sign in the window), the oppression of women and the extremism in the graffiti. Do I agree with the later 2? No. but it is a powerful image.
I looked at the picture and made my comment. You dont like it, tough. Now make your responses to Kombizz and not me. My last word on it.
Bynx my apologies, the word pugnacious was meant as a descriptive, not as a personal reference to your character. Like I've stated in another thread I have been viewing this site for 12mths or more now, I just decided to register. To your mention of fallen comrades, death is never to be negotiated, neither is religion, so who's right?

One of my points is that it seems you believe that you can respond to posts by people other than the OP, but that for anyone to respond to your posts is inappropriate. That looks like a double standard to me. I guess we have a different idea of what these forums supposed to be. I think they're for discussion and conversation.

Another of my points is that I simply asked how you could tell that a forum member had been banned elsewhere. I didn't say I didn't believe you--I just wondered how you knew.

Interesting how you get in a smear against a major religion and then say you want to "keep it photographic and not political." Looks like another double standard to me.
*sits down to eat his popcorn while watching the fight develop*
Bynx sits down beside Rhys and shares popcorn and a beer. We both sit and watch Adam talking to himself.

Tim11 is still stuck with the original post.
All he sees is a couple of run-down shops, a tired lady and incomprehensible Arabic writing. A drab setting and a message lost...
it could have been quite a powerful image, ghost picked up exactly what i saw. not sure if that was the intent or not. unfortnately, bosch is not an american company so it loses alot of its context. and the crop is awful.
as for the rest, adam is pretty much spot on. "muslim crap"....that is itself speaks volumes about the tolerance levels in our society of different cultures and shows just how well the Bush propaganda campaign worked.

I don't like where this one is headed... going to close it before it gets nasty. Let's stick to photography from now on, okay?
