Wow that 200mm 2.8 is nice! So you chose to use it over the 70-200mm 2.8 IS?

The prime seems to have better colour contrast, and that "3D quality" that I like so much. It looks like a bargain of a lens.

I love the set by the way. #2 is really something!

Thanks. The agency does that to protect the innocent. I've amended them with more shooting information.

Thanks nism - the Swannies really gave Essendon a touch-up.

Makes up for the one-point loss last year!

My 70-200/2.8 IS and 300/2.8 IS were unavailable, so this was the next best thing.

The 70-200/2.8 IS way more versatile, but like you said in your other post there's just some magic using a sharp, fast non-zoom - plus this thing is so small and light it was easy to carry around.

I think I'm going to favour it from now only. For this sport it really complements a long lens well for when the action gets close. It just felt so right, and I had no hesitation using it wide-open - where I normally am reluctant with the 70-200/2.8 IS and go to f/4.

Unfortunately not. Still lobbying the NRL's agency for some gigs, but no cigar yet. :(

To make matters worse, I had to work last night so I only saw the last 20mins of the game.
