well... it all started when i wanted to upgrade to a better camera body, but couldnt convince myself for the d200 because of the older technology that it contains and also wasnt ready to invest that much money on a D300.

i was going to wait for the nikon D90 but felt nikon was taking there sweet little time to even announce the D90. i then came across a 30D and saw the price tag, did some research, has great high ISO performance, thanks to that CMOS sensor, shoots 5 fps (really like to shoot sports) and just felt solid in my hands.

so decided to sell all my nikon equipment and switched canon.

thanks,
andy

Cool! So you have the body right now but you are waiting on the lens? That sucks!

It always puzzles me as to why people change systems. I've done so several times but my reasons were different. With M42 I wanted more than the system could provide. With K I wanted more than the system could provide so I went Nikon. Then when I went digital I went Canon on the basis that since Nikon would not support my existing AIS lenses then I might just as well go for a better (more coherently thought out) system.
