I have narrowed down the two cameras im choosing from between the nikon d40x and the sony alpha 200. the specs seem to show advantages and disadvantages between the two. i dont know which one i should get, so please help me.
i know what i will be using it for makes all the difference. i dont plan on using it for professional photography, but more for sports photography like bmx. i have friends who do that with both the D40x and the A200 so i know that they are great for it. i just dont know which one would be better. right now i use a Pentax K1000 film. its awesome, but needs a little tune-up, and im just looking for something digital.
i am just recently wanting to get into more serious photography, so i know nothing about either, experience-wise. so, i probably would like something easy to use and learn. i've heard that the nikon is, but i've used the sony on a small scale and it seems to be as well.
do they both have a good range of compatible zoom lenses? the sony A200 definitely seems to from 28 years of the same mounts and also buying out minolta, but what about the nikon?
thanx and God bless.
