Best camera for $150-$200

I am looking for a camera for my sister for a graduation present. I've looked into the A590IS. I found it for $150. Is this a decent camera?

I have an S1, and despite its obvious flaws like focus & flash issues, I get some great pictures with it.

My sister has taken some great pictures with her old little P&S, but it died on her, so I want to get her a new one.

I'm leaning toward the 590, but if anyone has any insight or better suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

A fine choice I think, so long as she is Ok with the standard compact form factor. If she would be happier with a slimline ultracompact, then you will need to keep looking. Here is a link to another thread for ideas -

Thanks for the info! Went with the Canon. Camera, case & SD Card for a total of $183 including shipping from Amazon. I think she'll be happy with it.
