was the moon taken at different settings cause it seems to stand out....
apart from that...love the first picture...
second one...maybe a day picture would do it more justice

Yes, the 1st image is a composite of two different images;)

Actually, there was the moon in the same part of the frame in the 1'st shot, however, due to the wide 24mm setting, it was too small to create any impact on the photo; also coz of the long exposure, it got severely blown out; caused some serious lens flare; and left a trail of motion as it was setting:(

I cleaned all that up in PP and added this slightly larger, but better exposed moon at the same spot;)

I agree, it does'nt blend too well with the background though... maybe, I'll give it another try tonight:)

thanks for looking

Thanks Rooz:)

This is the first time i tried such long exposures. It was so dark.. I could hardly see anything through the naked eye!

i agree that there's not much in #2, but i liked the sharpness of this photo.

I think the moon needs to be a little lighter especially with the mist that seems to be hanging around it...plus there should be a glow around it but then trying to do that in PP will be a pain..... anyway as I said earlier....love the picture...who cares about a bright moon... ;)
