Impressive set there Pete. Is that the same highway they usually use in the movies (think Rain Man) or are there a bunch of different ones with those wind generators?

Thanks guys.
I don't remember the exact scene in "Rain Man" but since these windmills are about 1 1/2 hrs from Los Angeles, they're probably the ones. (another film is "Less Than Zero".) There are some in Northern Calif. outside San Francisco too.
A little trivia: I believe most of these wind farms were built in the 1980's as a tax shelter scheme for wealthy investors. In the 1990's Congress/IRS took away that protection and most were abandoned and fell into disrepair. However I think the local utilities took them over and now many actually produce energy. People love - or hate them. Their location is based on the flow of air between the desert and Los Angeles basin. There's a very narrow opening in the mountains and it's always windy there.

Oh - I love 'em! First the sky is usually pretty good out there. Then I enhanced a little in camera (CP/ND grad) and a little in post CS3... ;)

Peter - amazing series.
I love the compostition and colors in the first.
The 3rd one is awesome as is the last pano. Out of curiosity, how did you do the panos?

Thanks guys. :D
On the panos, I used CS3 for all except for #29 in the gallery. For that one I used Autostitch. While Autostitch blended the individual images really well, overall it seemed to soften/defocus the image. I also wasn't crazy about the interface. CS3 sometimes did a less than perfect job blending but overall I like the Photomerge function.
