In respect to the current movie release, now in theaters ... I thought this might be a cool shot:
"Here he comes ..."

Do you collect toys Don? If you do, then I'm coming over to play with them. :D

Well ... I have a few. Here's a posterized version of nearly the same image ... which was a little more fun

Your setup shot is placed very well in comparison to the poster shot. Right down to the light reflections on the headrest, and other places as well. Excellent job.
not big on that first shot. i dont think you got the lighting working very well.
the posterised version on the other hand, is superb. very nice work.

Bynx ... went it was posterized, like Rooz pointed out ... the lighting isn't complimentary to the subject. It got too dark in the background and I wanted "Speed" to be more level with the eye. Perhaps the framing was a little tight on the first poster ... but, it made the front of the Mach 5 appear more ... in your face!

Speed says, "It's a little weird going from the comic world into ...

Well, just for those folks who want a little "Racer X" in their images ... he's a little hard to pin down.
A quick one ... of his car!

Look ... age may play a part in it. It was written for children to be able to appreciate all the monkeying around in the movie. But, Bynx ... keep your Chim Chim up ... and your eyes perpetually watching that rearview mirror. You never know who may be tagging along behind you ...

Good shot there Don. I see the monkey is driving.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I do own one of the Kyosho Mini-Z Speed Racer Mach 5 remote control cars. It's never been ran though I have taken it out of the box and still have the box--Kyosho hasn't made them for years.

However, Kyosho has released a smaller 1/43rd scale 2.4GHz Dnano remote control car which is selling for around US $200 with transmitter and is about the size of some "Pull back Hotwheel Speed Racer".

Needless to write there are already people out there tearing apart the HotWheel version planning to mount Speed Racer bodies on it.
Also, funny thread Don. ;)
