The Buyer's Guide hasn't been updated since Feb 19 and has some that are no longer current: Canon A570, Pan FZ8, TZ3, and Fz50, maybe Nikon D40, Pentax K100. Is it time to move these to the Hall of Fame?

Your comment may be applicable to the US market (I really don't know personally) but all those models you've listed are still "current" in Australia, and are all readily available in the retail marketplace.

Therefore, I really don't see any urgent need to delete them from the Buyer's Guide — simply because they may've disappeared from the US market.

There is actually a major part of the world — and camera buyers — beyond the boundaries of the USA you know LOL.

Cheers :)

To hell with everyone else (including the rest of the U.S)! After New York City, the rest of world is a mere afterthought! :D:D:D

At least that's what I grew up thinking...:p:p:p

New York...a whole city full of punk-ass-punks!

Isn't the Kodak "Brownie" and "Instamatic" w/ flashcubes still currently available Down-under? Australia is not really known for cutting edge, world shaking ... uh, yeah. :o oops!

Isn't there still pieces of "SkyLab" lying about?

Again, must be New York City trying to convert some other location into another "New Jersey."

I'm going to go ahead and guess that it's because their replacements haven't been reviewed yet. At least I think that's the case for the DSLRs. I don't keep track of the P&S cameras.

They are still helpful to used-camera buyers for comparison purposes.

G'day. I appreciate the international users here, but I don't see how a buyer's guide could be maintained for the world market. The guide groups cameras by prices. How could anyone know what the current models and prices are in every country in the world? As you said, you don't know about the US market, I don't know about Australia, and so on. And price differences would make a grouping by price impossible.

The prices given here are US prices. I think the buyer's guide reflects only the US market for current models and prices.

They are still helpful to used-camera buyers for comparison purposes.

Hall of Fame is for the oldies but goodies: http://www.dcresource.com/buyersguide/hall_of_fame.shtml

It was updated May 23. Yeah! Nothing in the $650 - $1000 range now, but coming soon.
