Just wanted to warn anyone thinking of buying from Accessoriesland.com. They are exceptionally rude and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Don't order from them just to save $20 - it's not worth it!!!!

This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. You buy a camera which you think is a reasonable price. A person phones really late in the evening and tells you that the camera does not come with a battery. He makes you pay an extra $100.00 for an "upgraded" battery. He also charges a stupid amount for shipping and insurance. The camera comes, surprise surprise you now have 2 batteries exactly the same!
You then start phoning customer service (what a Joke). He tells you that they have done you a favor by sending you an "American" version rather than a "Grey" version. You tell him that you don't want 2 batteries and you want to send it back. This is when the fun begins - You will have to send the whole camera back! He then starts getting very rude and very insulting. It ends up being a shouting match with a complete idiot!
THE BOTTOM LINE
The camera ends up costing far more than it's listed for! DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS OFF OF THIS COMPANY. GO TO A REPUTABLE COMPANY.

I haven't bought of any of these stores (as I'm not in the US) are many stores in Brooklyn like this?
I have heard how some will seperate the software and batteries and charge you extra for them, and if you say you don't want them, they will pretend not to have stock...
Isn't it illegal??

It's a shabby and shameful business practice but not as far as I know, illegal. (under uk law anyway). It would probably be illegal to claim to have stock when one had none or was not expecting stock imminantly. It reminds me of business practices in the former USSR.

I consider myself to be a pretty smart consumer. I did lots of research on my camera. I should have done it for AccessorieLand. I agree with others that they have far and wide the rudest company I have ever dealt with. They are curt and combative, and are all about up-selling you with "accessories", but they're not about offering a service to customers. They sent me accessories that did not properly work with my camera. They up-sold me on a warranty package that was supposedly offered by the manufacturer. They said I would get a warranty card. I never received anything, even after repeated calls. I also warn anyone doing business with them. They are truly horrible to deal with and it has been the worst on-line experience I have ever had.
