Lightroom - I heard you get free upgrades, is this correct?

I currently have the Beta 2 version....and am looking into getting it, but was going to wait if it's not a free upgrade.

Highly unlikely. I expect there will be a charge.

You get minor upgrades.

If you own a legitimate version of 1.x you will get all the upgrades that start with 1. but you will have to pay to get the 2. release when it arrives. Once you pay for the 2. you will then get all the 2,x upgrades until 3. is released.
Sometimes manufacturers say that when people buy after a set date they will get a free version of the new release (usually when the new release is imminent) but I haven't heard that with Lightroon 2. yet because the rumoured release dat is still months away.

Me to but anybody looking at purchasing today should at least be told that they will have to pay to upgrade shortly.
