I have another post on the F50's "great IS" (kidding, just consider it a marketing button like their "picture shake" of the F31). It's an awesome little camera and hands-down the best low light camera on the market (I just sold my F31)! Just for reference, I've owned a F31, S6000, F40 and F50 -- so I know Fuji's very well! In many ways I prefer the F50 to the F31 (in other ways I don't). It has better color saturation than the F31 and better AWB. The high ISO is almost, but not quite a stop cleaner on the F31 -- still a full stop better than anything else! The F31 IMO is a half stop better than the F40 and the F40 a half stop better than the F50... and the F50 a full stop+ better than my TZ3.

I only paid $125 at Best Buy for a new (sealed) one on clearance to try it out. I don't love the IS, so its going back. That said, it will be at the BB store in their "open box" case tomorrow! Now I don't know if they will mark 10% the $125 price I paid or the $299 price, but I can give you the store number. I checked and fleaBay has them going for close to $200, but I don't have time to mess with it.

Just trying to pass along a good deal to all those that helped me on this forum!

UPDATE: it's been returned and doesn't seem like anyone was interested -- especially Tim.

The high ISO is almost, but not quite a stop cleaner on the F31 --

Are you blind? Or do you simply want to mislead new camera buyers? Every one who knows the Fuji F series know the F50 high ISO images are interior to the F series before it.
As for colour saturation, it's more like desaturation to me but... well, it's your call if you like that look. I agree up to the point that F50 has impressive features but if you consider the F50's high to F30/F31 then you are in a world of your own.

Oh, that's nice. NO. If you read my other post I caution people from buying one for the IS.

Ah... yeah, I agree... that's what just said -- the F31 is ALMOST a stop cleaner than the F50. If you downsize the images to the same scale IMO (that's IMO) it not THAT far off at 400-800. I don't care to look at 1600 and up, that's just noisy even with a F31.

As for colour saturation, it's more like desaturation to me but... well, it's your call if you like that look.

All my shots with a F31 and F50 set to "natural", the F50 had MORE saturation than the F31. I've read other people's posts who said the same. All I can say is with the cameras I had, that was the case. I was constantly bumping up the saturation with the F31 in PP and decreasing it with the F50 to get the same natural color.... similar to my post on the F50's IS, there's only so many ways I can say the same thing over.

Sort or sorry I bothered to post this deal to others now. I have nothing to gain, in fact, I lost about 10 minutes now replying.

You cant compare those 2 pictures of the bottle because they are not the same size. The F50 picture is larger if you downsize them and then look at them and you will not be able to tell THAT much of a difference.
