You want to stay out of the LA area then. I live in Anaheim, which is in a different county from LA, and we're really still just all part of one big concrete jungle. Even our baseball team is now called the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (Which of course, translated, means The Angels Angels of Anaheim ;)).

What do you expect living only 25 miles from LA? Everything within about 100 miles is tarred with the LA brush as far as the rest of the world is concerned.
99 out of 100 people you asked would tell you that Disneyland is in LA. :)
