The above review has a chart listing the comparisons, it would seem the only
difference is the 28mm vs 30mm at the wide end of the lens,

Wide angle viewing lens and battery life. The battery life of the W150 is 200 mins. The wide angle of the 150 is 30mm. They are almost the same. Whatever you choose, it's all worth it. But if you really want supreme megapixel, try W170.

In search for a new digital compact camera I visited the site www.imaging-recource.com.
I would like to buy a Sony DSC W170. So I looked for a review. And I found one.
But now I am more puzzled then before.
The Site www.imaging-recource.com. gives an opportunity to compare two images. So I compared two images. The first is an standard special test image made with the Sony DSC W170, the second with the Sony DSC W130. There was a big difference in sharpness between the two.
The image made with the Sony DSC W170 was astonishing sharp.
The difference is quite good to observe in the bottle with the olive oil and the wine bottle with the Greek wine and the proportional scale.
I am just an amateur photographer and I just want to take photos with a P&S-er. No hassle with the buttons and program choises. I have only one wish SHARPNESS and again SHARPNESS.
My questions are:
Is this difference by chance?
Is this explicable.

Can anyone give me an aswer.

Thanx.
