My son broke the lens on my Easyshare V530. I purchased a used one for parts for mine. Does anyone know how to guide me in replacing the lens on my camera?

I know you don't wanna hear this, but personally, I wouldn't even think of trying to replace a broken lens on a camera — any camera. It's best left to the experts, but unfortunately, these experts would want an arm and a leg to fix up your lens.

There's far too many electro-mechanical links etc to damage in the process if you're trying to do it on a hit-and-miss basis — again, in my opinion.

I understand that you've already bought a second-hand cam to butcher for parts, but unfortunately you're repairing 3-year-old technology — is it ultimately worth the grief? Today, you can buy identical, if not better technology, for half the price that you paid for your Kodak in 2005. Maybe something like this?

Kodak Easyshare M893 (http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=12410&pq-locale=en_US&colorKey=silver)

I'm also guessing that nobody here will be able to "guide" you through the repair process either (but I could be wrong!) as it's really too complicated to get across via a forum.

I apologise if this seems unhelpful, but I can't really see your plan as a goer.

Cheers :)
