Slideshow Function question

I am just wondering if there is any way to program the slideshow function so that after you take the photo, there is an automatic way for it to start playing in a slideshow, as opposed to us having to press the play button and start it yourself.

My apologies that this is sounding completely confusing. I am working on a project for school that I will not be able to babysit when it is being shown. Basically, self-timed photos will be taken of people, and I would like for a slideshow to play the photos already taken when there is not someone taking a picture.

If there is any way to make that work without having to press the 'play' button, and to have the slideshow trigger on it's own, let me know. Any advice would help and sorry again for how discombobulated this may sound.

You need the slideshow to be on a computer/projector, right?
There are tons of image viewers out there that will offer full screen slideshows. Picasa is good.

The description above is unfortunately completely confusing to suggest a proper solution. What do you mean by "self-timed photos"? Please explain the whole idea again and in more details.
