I'm looking for Mac OSX software that will allow me to create promotional calenders - with the month on the page and a photo plus my company name and a list of services. Any suggestions?

Given the cost of ink. If you're using the same image etc on each calendar and there's a few calendars then you may be best of subcontracting the job to a proper printer.

I'm in a different country but there is a local company that offerred this to me for what is probably a fraction of the price I could print them.

Different printing companies specialise in different things though so you may need to try a couple.

I was thinking of a dozen or so calendars - distributed around various dental offices etc.

The Aust company doing this that you might get ideas from is www.digitalprintaustralia.com
Re pricing they charge $185 AUD for 10, $225 for 25 CD callendars, $400 for 25 wall calendars. As with all printing price per unit significantly decreases as volume increases.

Rhys I hate to sound like a broken record re software advice but I really think Microsoft Publisher is a great general desktop publishing program.

Have you had a look at the calender features in iPhoto. I have had great success with the books and cards in the past, and the shipping costs (to Australia) were not that bad. I found the costs to be quite competitive against local companies as well. The following link contains more details.

Thanks Ian, it was actually Rhys (in the USA) who was asking but I hadn't realised 1 off printing of personal calendars had fallen to that point. I think I'll be making my own callendar next year instead of buying a commercial one!:)

The shipping costs to the US are even lower, as I think all printing is actually done in the US !

Dread Pirate Roberts, you can make some seriously cool xmas presents using your own photos. We have made a few of the family for overseas relatives, and they really go down a treat. The quality is as good as a professional calender, and there a quite a few templates to choose from.

I did come across this: http://www.aplusfreeware.com/categories/mmedia/PhotoPrintCalendar.html
It works for Windows. I'm looking for a Mac version now.

The Print Shop will do this easily.
