You mean a lens made by Canon? Then no. But you may be able to get adapters that will allow you to put a lens with a Canon mount on a camera that takes Minolta lenses.

Thanks for the information that is exactly what I was looking for. I was wanting to get a new lens in the 200-500 range and had read reviews that pit the Canon against the Tamron so got to wandering if you could get a Canon for say a Alpha camera if the Canon lens is better.

Even with an adapter the Canon lens would probably not work with Sony electronics, you'd have to do everything in manual. It only makes sense if you already have the lenses and want to use them somehow. For new lenses I don't think it would be a good option, you really want to buy lenses that are designed for the camera system you are buying.

Sir thank you for your input. What you say makes a lot of sense. I would like to get the best image quality I can. I have always been interested in photography but never had the time. Now I have the time and want to do the best I can. I am hoping to eventually get images as crisp and clear as I see in the Photo Magazines.
