I recently picked up a K100d with three lenses in like new shape for $525 which I thought was a great deal. I still own my Fuji S8000 8mp bridge cam and was thinking about selling it, think I'll be losing quality 8mp vs 6mp on the K100d and the ISO can go as low 64 on the Fuji as opposed to 200 on the Pentax? If I sell the Fuji, I would like to get either the Pentax or Tamron 75-300mm AF zoom, anyone with experience with lens?

Thanks in advance
Barry

if you want to measurebate, its not the best lens I suppose. but will you get great pictures out of it? yes, yes you will. Its not great in low light (because of the f-stop of 4), but I think if you aren't expecting spectacular results, than go for it. (please note, I have no experiance with this lens, but unless you are willing to spend $1000+, you will be fine.)

also, If you are wanting experianced reviews, and people to talk to head over to pentaxforums.com

(here is a link to the lens in question i think)

Barry, I would really consider the Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO DG. It is highly rated and just a little more money that the Tamron or Pentax zoom. Just make sure you look for the APO version.

I always loved my Pentax. But it was too heavy to lug around. Things are a lot easier since I went digital.

Love the photo, haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Well, I've already upgraded in less than a week, I just ordered the Pentax k200d, I figured I paid such a low price on Ebay for the new condition k100d, why not resell it and get the new model for a net price for less than $100, I also used to have a Pentax 35mm Spotmatic F back in 1973.
