Help please, I need some advice

I purchased my first digital camera about 3 years ago (Fuji 6800 zoom) but now I want to move on to something better, I was close to buying the Nikon 8800 VR but after reading user reviews I am not so sure. I have read reviews on the Canon Powershot Pro 1, EOS 10D, and Minolta A200 and the Nikon D70 and it seems that every camera has issues so I really would appreciate some feedback and advice from anyone who has 'hands on' knowledge as the more I read, the more unsure I am of what to buy. Thanks everyone. :confused: PWhat issues are important to you? It's hard to give you advice when you mention some pretty decent cameras, all with "issues." Have you looked at the Panasonic DMC-FZ20, incidentally? It's a great camera, though not, I'm sure, without its own "issues." Maybe you could spell out which things are important to you, which aren't? :confused:
