If I look at the LCD MONITOR, as the girl does on page 33 of the Operating Instructions, the camera at chin level, the monitor is washed out, almost white. It is not glare!

I have to look at the monitor eye height to get a decent image on the monitor.

If I put the camera above eye level, as reporters do in taking a picture over heads of a crowd, the image is fine.

PLEASE ALL FZ20 owners please let me know If you get a good image looking down on the LCD as the girl does on page 33 of Operating Instructions.

If this problem is a defect I want to get FZ20 repaired BEFORE the 90 day warranty expires. Coming up soon!!!!!

Thank you

Stan - yes, my LCD appears washed out when I hold the camera in the same manner as the anime chick on page 33 of the manual. But holding the camera that way is not really conducive to good shooting anyway. Seems to me I'd have to hold the camera at eye level to get the proper framing/perspective. Most LCD displays (whether on computers or cameras) have limited viewing angles and the one on the FZ 20 doesn't seem to be an exception.

Stan

My FZ20 does the same thing. I suspect it's a normal behavior of the display. I must admit that I hadn't noticed it before, likely because I don't often use the LCD for taking pictures.

The FZ20 really rocks for the bucks, so I hope this doesn't deminish it's usefulness to you.

Have a great day ... LarryB
