well, guys, I would like to ask you some questions. I would like to know which camera is better, the A75 or the A80, about the kind of scenes that both cameras offer. I know that the A75 offers new scenes that the A80 doesn't have, but the A80 has custom settings as well. So I would like to know which camera is better in that case. ?

The other case is, that the A75 offers a bigger screen with more colours, so I would like to know that too, which of those is the best.

Well I know that the A75 can make movies with better resolution too, but I don't think that matters.

so what camera is the best, A75 or A85??????

It sounds like you have not tried either camera. If you had then you would not be asking these questions. Choose the one that meets you needs. Don't buy a camera on it's "cool" factor alone. If the A75 does what you need then why pay more for the A80? The resolution difference is only a factor if you plan to print larger than 8 x 10. Even then it's only a slight edge.

The rotating LCD is a nice feature, but again if you don't need it why pay more, and it is on the smallish size (1.5") compared to the A75 (1.8").

I like the rotating LCD. I like it lots, since I used to have something similar on the Sony F717. It is smaller, but I've got good eyes and that makes no difference to me. 4MP compared to 3.2MP isn't that much of a difference, at least not for me. They're both fine for posting on the web and for printing smaller sized.

Would you rather have a big LCD, and a better movie mode? A75 is for you.

A rotating LCD and 4MP, because that's crucial? A80.

Shouldn't be too hard - either way, you'll be happy with either of the two :)

They are fairly similar cameras, can you find a camera store around your area where you can test it out? I'm sure the A75 would serve you well and I'm personally not a huge fan of the swiveling LCD on the A80 so that's likely what I'd pick given the choice between those two particular models.

Don't count out the value of the swiveling LCD on the A80, it comes in really handy for shooting over the heads of crowds, or, what I used mine for, shooting from the hip. It's a feature I really missed when I "upgraded" to the Oly 5050. The custom settings are really nice too. 4mp gives you a little more room to crop.
