From a 2-day drag racing event.

K10D, Sigma 50-500, 1/640, f/8, ISO400. Top fuel dragster on it's way to a mid 5-second 1/4-mile. First pass at a regional track.

K10D, Sigma 50-500, 1/640, f/11, ISO100. Action during the burnout competition.

K10D, Sigma 18-125, 1/10, f/6.3, ISO400, Sigma EF-500 Super. I hate using flash at the drags, there is no feeling of movement. I've been using trailing curtain lately. Drag car launch, with someone elses flash firing right at the right time. Lens flare adds to the effect too I feel.

K10D, Sigma 18-125, 1/6, f/4, ISO800. Handheld. I really liked the lighting here.

K10D, Sigma 18-125, 1/13, f/7.1, ISO1600, Sigma EF-500 Super. Trailing curtain again with another photog's flash firing just after launch.

Great shots of both the drags and the street bikes. Here are a few I took from the track last weekend. The sequence shot didn't quite turn out like I had hoped so I am going back to try it again next week.

Overall I was pleased with the results but I think they could be alot sharper and brighter. I tried a few different lenses and played around with shutter/app but could not get the crisp shot I was hopnig for. All of the shots still lack "pop" and seem washed out. Any ideas?
