Did I mention the tornado that they are debating whether or not actually was a tornado... hmmmm looked like tornado damage to me. I'm not an expert but I did live in "tornado alley" for 12 years. I think it's safe to say there were multiple touch downs. From the locations it was at least a couple of small twisters.

Glad to hear youre OK! We get quite a few of those bad boys up here so I know how devastating they can really be. Its very unfortunate, just glad you came out of it unscaved(sp).

Thanks jcon, fortunately we just had high high winds and rain in my area. We're about 8 miles east of the closet touch down that I'm currently aware of, but it felt like a hurricane came through. I haven't heard of anyone being hurt yet which is suprising considering the damage. Thank GOD.

Yeah, to repeat XaiLo, the pictures look amazing but it's nicer to know you're alright.
I see the news reports now and then of the hell you guys go through (where I live in Australia, it's veeery mild) and just couldn't imagine living through it.

Stay outta trouble bud!

OMG! Man, I hope you and your loved ones are okay. Feel bad for everyone too.

But those are absolutely stunning and powerful pictures. Almost award winning documentary series stuff, actually!

Just one question: why the decision to set all the pics to 570 px max dimension? (which seems to be a non-standard size... and frankly, a bit small) Me thinks they would be even more powerful at 1024 px or some other larger max dimension, as would usually benefit such pics.

Xailo, those are heartbreaking pictures. You really captured the devastation.

My DH enjoys looking at pictures on some of the weather sites of the snow. I bet that they have a place where you can post pictures like that (maybe it is wunderground?).

I am glad you and your family are OK. Be careful when you are out.

I would like to thank everyone for their concern and kind comments.
I had some internet issues guys back online now.

btuner, thanks for the suggestion I have a image of a CNN news crew maybe I'll send it to CBS ;)

tim11, it's pretty wild that's for sure.

rawpaw18, thanks much I'm glad they told a story.

p.du.v, that's funny p.du.v I was watching a movie called "Kangaroo Jack" it revolves around a couple of guy and their adventures in Austrailia. Then the storm showed up. :( and here it's not too bad I used to live in a region that is refered to as tornado alley.

e_dawg, well there was a lot of them and it's just one of the sizes I post at on occassion.

Aldor88, I know what you mean I used to love running back and forth in through the house in New York when I was a kid.

mugsisme, I'll have to look into that too Leah.

Thanks again every one I'll post some of the clean up images.
