with some of these memory cards, they dont tell you what speed they are, such as sandisk, etc. also is there only two types of memory cards flash and SD? I would like to order one online, but its hard to know which oneto get i have an canon SD200 and dont even know what kind of card i should get and many of them dont specify the speed, i think i would like 60x so i can shoot good video. I looked at kingmax and they seem reasonable. Also there is a $5 kingmax card reader on newegg, any opinions.

See other post where a regular memory card was used for video with no loss or delay in storage. Seems to indicate that the high spped caeds are not needed for video. Don't know if they are faster for picture storage.
COSTCO has an upcoming 20% off sale on Sandisk card (high speed 512Mb card will be in the mid $40, regular speed about $5 less).

I have the SD300, almost the same as the SD200 you are looking at. They take SD memory (hence the name).
I have a basic Sandisc 512Meg card, not the Ultra-II, and it can keep up with the camera's maximum video mode or burst mode without any hitches. You don't need to buy a faster memory card if you get the Sandisc. I can't speak for other brands.
