cams w/ optical zoom during movies

im not even going to bother doing the questionaire, i just want to know ANY camera out there that can zoom while shooting movies. im getting really tired of going through every single review of every camera and checking if it can zoom during movies. i really dont feel like lugging around my camcorder and camera at the same time anymore. so yeah, please experts, will you answer my question? i need my camera by like thursday or friday for a trip, so i need info QUICK! thank you so much!!

Canon S5, Fuji S700, Pan TZ4, Sony H7/H9 are some that come to mind. This question comes up often so maybe we should make a sticky list.

Hey, we'd just have to go through the reviews just like you. None of us know all of the cameras, especially some of the lesser popular brands or discontinued models. I think at least one Kodak ultrazoom does as well. Limit your search to ultrazooms, they're most likely to allow zoom in movie mode.

You've got most of them already. Time to make your decision.

They are discontinued. Where would you get them? I haven't seen a new TZ1 for sale in years. TZ4 was mentioned instead.
