Currently I have a Kodak DX6490. Love the camera. However I've been itching to upgrade to a 8MP camera. Currently use the camera for indoor shots, zoo, Myrtle Beach, Swimming, Theme Parks Disney vacation, and various family stuff. Hardly ever venture off the auto path. Auto mode, Sports mode, Portrait mode... haven't really gotten into PASM, but looks like I should if I want to get more out of the camera. Anyways, I've been looking at the z812 - but noticed a delay in what you see on the screen when you take the picture, and what the picture ends up being. There's like a 1/2 second or more delay. I don't like anticipating all my shots. My DX6490 doesn't do that. When you press the button - what you see is what you get. With the z812 - that wasn't the case. I've also looked at the Sony H9 and the Canon S5. I love the zoom and don't want to abandon it. Just want to upgrade the camera that I have with something similar -- 10x zoom or more -- 8 MP or more -- but still try and keep it simple. I've mainly printed out 4x6. However, I'd love to be able to print out 5x7 and 8x10 without any loss of detail - hence the move to 8mp. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Much!!

There are a few more superzooms you may want to consider - The Panasonic TZ3 and the new TZ5, Panasonic FZ18, Sony H3, Fuji S700 and S8000 and the Canon SX100. All are good cameras and not too large, with the Panasonic TZ3 and TZ5 being the smallest.
