I've read almost every review out there about the T1 and the T3. Some good and some bad. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to settle for the T3 because my first choice, Olympus AZ-2, I believe, has been discontinued.
I think it's impossible to find the "perfect" camera. I'm sure everyone settles by considering the number of pro's and con's...

I'm looking for an excuse, or someone to convince me not to buy they T3. But then which ultracompact would I buy? I'm considering the Minolta X series or the Canon Ixus 40 as well.

Decisions, decisions...

do you mean T33 or T3?
if the T3 is anything like the T1, then the battery life is a JOKE.
no optical viewfinder = suckage.

also, no manual modes, and poor flash performance.

Have you considered the Sony L1?

i remember when i was first shopping for a digital camera i had my heart set on a sony t1... that is until i did more research. i was enamored with its tiny size and large lcd screen, but for that price there are a number of other choices out there that can give you more bang for your buck (from what i understand there is not a whole lot of difference between the t1 and the t33).

i don't mean to knock it too hard... it's got a lot of capability for its size. but unless having a pocketable camera ready for spontaneous shots is your highest priority, i personally think you can do better than the t33. for that price, i'd want more manual controls, an actual optical viewfinder, and better photo quality.
