View Full Version : Dsc-p200?
Ok, I just noticed Sony has come out with this new p200. I have just bought the p150 only a few days ago. Should I take it back and wait for the p200 to hit the market? I had been looking at cameras for serveral months and just decided on this one. I don't mind to wait alittle longer if the p200 is suppose to be better.

Well, if a smaller body and slightly larger LCD equals better, then take it back...
Jeff,
I ordered a P150 just a few days before Christmas. I will have to say that I saw none of the blurriness problems that a lot of people report. As long as the camera is given time to focus, it takes very good pictures. I think the P150 is a great, compact camera which is what I bought it for. Its size/portability.
I don't like the fact that the P150 on auto often choses 1/40 of a sec (1/40th is not a problem for me but is is for my wife) or slower shutter speeds for indoor/flash shots, so instead use a manual mode forcing 1/60 of a sec and/or higher iso for my indoor shots.
I did return my cam, after playing with it for a few days, because of quite a few bad pixels on the LCD. I just foun out a few minutes ago that my new camera will ship back out tomorrow.
So, I'm kind of in the same boat as jvan. I don't really care about the slightly smaller body size or a slightly larger LCD. What I do care about is did Sony correct some of the shutter speed/aperature/iso selection problems in auto mode? That could make me decide to cancel my return, get a refund which was offered to me today, and wait for the P200??? What to do, what to do??
Jeff.
p.s. My first post though I've been reading here for a long time. Great site!
